Parts drawing and 3D scanning
In the past, measuring a complex shape required measurement techniques, using calipers, rules, or depth gages to generate a CAD model manually drawn. Model accuracy depended entirely on the skill of the model maker and the process usually required weeks to get right. Today however, 3D data capture has revolutionized the process, allowing operators to digitize complex geometries in minutes and create digital models as future design files. Our 3D measurement solutions are ideal for many reverse-engineering tasks, including the development of mesh or CAD models, component part design changes or retrofits in equipment assemblies. Once created, the digital files can aid in aftermarket parts production, 3D printing, machining, mold and pattern making, tool creation and part inspection. McBuilt has built up years of experiences in pard drawing and 3D scanning for conversion to CAD image. This is useful for spare parts reproduction and reverse engineering.
